Nutrient Rich

John Allen Mollenhauer (JAM) is a Nutrition Education Trainer (NET), a Performance Lifestyle® coach (CPLC), and a sought-after speaker on nutrition, health and productivity. He is also the founder of Nutrient Rich® Life, Inc., a company dedicated to helping people fuel their body right by making "the switch" to nutrient rich superfood eating. As a top trainer and coach, he and the Nutrient Rich Team help people build nutrient rich, resilient bodies and achieve the 7 success results every BODY wants, starting with optimal health, increased energy, and natural weight loss.

After spending much of his youth as a gym owner, bodybuilder and fitness enthusiast, with high protein meat, dairy and refined foods making up most of his diet, John Allen realized that while he had well-developed muscles, he was neither healthy nor poised for longevity. In 1990, by a chance of fate, he was introduced to the American Natural Hygiene Society, aka the National Health Association (HealthScience.org), which is where he met and was inspired by Joel Fuhrman M.D.—the leader in what has become the high nutrient density "Nutritarian" eating style, otherwise known as "nutritional excellence."

Over the next 15 years, amidst a variety of entrepreneurial, lifestyle ventures, John Allen studied Dr. Fuhrman's work and then worked directly with him, during the launch of his bestselling book Eat to Live. It was then and there that JAM knew he was committed to becoming a leading protégé. JAM later started his own company, NutrientRich.com to share this emerging, ground-breaking and transformation nutritional insight, and apply it as a solution for the new meme in healthy living—PerformanceLifestyle®.

In 2005, while working with another health luminary, T. Colin Campbell, PhD., of Cornell, JAM read an advanced draft of and helped publish The China Studythe most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted, which reinforced the idea that less than 10% of the foods we eat should come from nutrient-poor animal products and refined foods. In 2006, John Allen published The Top 12 Findings of the China Study, with the book's esteemed authors.

This experience led JAM to realize that he had something very significant to share with the world—the idea that eating the world's most nutrient rich superfoods, 90% of the time, or more, solves virtually all of the diet, weight and long-term health issues most people experience. Excited by the opportunity to help define what it truly meant to eat "healthy"—and to promote nutrient rich as a revolutionary new way of eating that people could quickly understand, he created The 3 Classes of Food and began formulating a lifestyle-based framework for helping anyone optimize the way they eat and live for, amazing results.

He then trademarked the term Nutrient Rich®, became one of the first people in the world to begin promoting this Superfood Eating Style, and started coaching people on what is now known as making "the Switch" from eating mostly nutrient poor to eating 90%, or More Plant-Based Nutrient Rich® foods, meals and menus, which is the approach he advocates for helping people make this self-paced nutrition transition.

Knowing that nutrition was only part of the Lifestyle equation, at this time in 2007, JAM began working on the Performance Lifestyle® curriculum. He wanted to fully expound upon the mindset and skillset that explained not only how to live a healthy lifestyle successfully, but how to stay healthy, while achieving one's goals in a fast-paced culture. So, over the next three years, he systematically defined the 12 Fundamentals of Performance Lifestyle, which included a significant period of time spent working with Catherine Pastille, PhD., from the University of Rhode Island, and focused on the crux of many of these principles—personal energy management.

He authored The Energy Regeneration Method©, which was hailed by James Mass PhD, a leading sleep science expert, from Cornell University, as a "breakthrough." He has since become an expert in managing personal energy for performance, and has written additional titles, The 7 Breakthrough Energy Discoveries© and Manage Your Energy©.

Committed to helping people develop successful lifestyles, it was also around this time that he began delving into why some people can resolve, evolve and achieve their goals so masterfully, and others seem to struggle, stay stuck and change ever-so slowly. He began work on one of the most important aspects of lifestyle change—the ability to change you story—with Harvard psychology instructor, Arthur P. Ciaramicoli, Ed.D., Ph.D., and Superbowl MVP, Phil Simms, by co-authoring The Curse of the Capablethe hidden challenge to a balanced healthy, high-achieving life. John Allen was responsible for the 5-Step "Change Your Story" process. This work ultimately lead to the greatest and most important lifestyle change anyone can make, which is to become evolutionarily enlightened.

In 2013, JAM re-launched Nutrientrich.com as the Superfood Nutrition System with a complete suite of recommended superfood mixes, and other featured nutrient-rich products, guides, as well as live and online support for people making the Switch to More Plant-Based Nutrient Rich® "Superfood Eating."

To help people optimize the way they eat and live, John Allen has written the Superfood Jumpstart Guide© to explain how to detoxify and build a nutrient rich body, with the simplest, quickest and easiest, lifestyle-designed, nutrition plan--ever; the Superfood Nutrition Guide© to provide people with a greater knowledge base for combining superfood products with sit-down nutrient-rich meals for the healthiest body ever. He has also completed the first volume of the Nutrient Rich® Superfood Nutrition System – v2 is coming out in January 2014.

He has also created a comprehensive group, and one-to-one coaching program, called Health Coach Club, for people in need of a nutrition and lifestyle intervention, or "Nutrivention." The curriculum is reinforced by the 12 Fundamentals of Performance Lifestyle.

John Allen envisions a world where this great-tasting, healthy eating style is accessible to everyone, as part of whole lifestyle philosophy that enables people to achieve their goals and fulfill their dreams. He wants people to look, feel and perform at their best, without making more out of things than they need to.
